Majestic Mountains

A lot of my art has been inspired by travel. One of my favorite paintings is my seagull chillin at the beach :) This was from a picture my friend took while we were hanging at the beach in the Bahamas. Yeah so this has nothing to do with mountains, but the beach is one of my favorite spots

Another one that is special to me was inspired from a hike in Yosemite. Yosemite falls, a brutal 6 mile hike, is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping a total of 2,425 feet from the top of the upper fall to the base of the lower fall. This hike took us all day and man, was it painful! But very beautiful, with stunning views of the falls along the way, and of Yosemite valley below. Once at the top of Yosemite point, you get breathtaking views of Yosemite, and an excellent view of Half Dome. As hard as that hike was, I got some great pics and great inspo for some paintings :) so I can't complain really.

Speaking of hiking, years ago while in Zion National Park, I took some great photos! The mountains and landscape there are excellent inspiration. Haven't quite gotten around to a painting from that trip, but check out some of these views...

So yeah, I like to take pics while out and about, and then paint them! Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas for future explorations or any places that have inspired you :)
