art

Artista...so this is an area where I continue to develop and grow in. While art has always been a part of my life, I've had a difficult time finding my spot or niche with art. Over the years, I've dabbled with different things, styles, media, but haven't seem to find something I can settle on. Maybe that's the beauty of art! I tend to shy away from sharing it with others because like a lot of artists out there, I wonder if my art is good enough, but as I've learned over the years, there's something for everyone! and just like clothes, everyone has a different style. So over the last couple of years, I pulled myself out of hiding, created an etsy page, and even had my very first art show! So now I've learned that hey, this is me, this my art. You like it, cool! you don't, thats cool too!

Golden Gate Bridge, acrylic on canvas

Growing up I started out with oil painting. I started painting when I was 8 years old. So not into sports, my mom signed me up for oil painting classes. I loved it! my teacher was awesome and showed us how to handle the paints and oils. As I got older, I tried other media - drawing with charcoal, acrylic, watercolor. These days I'm more into crafting, taking things and painting on them. I enjoy taking things that some people may toss away like wine corks and beer tops, (why would you throw those away!?) and making stuff out of them.

For some reason I have the tendency to put off projects. No idea why, I love art, I like seeing it, finding new pieces, I enjoy the process of it. I even went to school and studied art therapy. I do have an etsy page, which sadly has been a bit neglected over the years. I do want to get back into my art and actually finish all those projects I've started. So here goes! welcome to my art section! Let me know what you think, browse my etsy page and stay tuned for some finally finished projects. I'll also share some of my older stuff. A lot of my older work was inspired by my little travels, being in nature, taking pics. So, here goes to following my passions and actually doing it! Thanks for reading and visiting. Stay creative and never give up your dreams. :)
